Masthope Mountain Community
As we move through this COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Directors has been working on steps to help those property owners who are going through a hardship. There could have been no expectation of the situation forced upon us, and we must all work together. Financial matters rise to the top of our minds in a crisis, and the board has taken the following actions to help those with hardships move forward with financial obligations to Masthope.
Our assessments are due in full by May 1, the beginning of our fiscal year. Members have always had the option to apply for the standard 6-month payment plan. For those members in a hardship situation, two additional payment plans have been developed for the fiscal year 2020-2021. In addition, members suffering a hardship who own more than 1 uncombined lot may now put up to 2 properties on a payment plan.
To apply for these payment options please submit a letter of request which in brief explains your hardship to email@example.com. Your letters will be reviewed, and you will be contacted by staff to discuss your options and establish the payment plan. You will need to sign the payment plan and send it to the office to become effective. Any default in payment will end the good standing status and may result in additional fees.
It is critical that you follow these simple steps. Without completing all payment plan applications and returning signed documents you are NOT on a payment plan and will not be considered a member in good standing. Please work closely with the office to establish the plan which works best for you.
Masthope operates on a very tight budget. We will monitor our financial situation very closely to make sure we can maintain our high quality of operations. Please only apply for a hardship if you truly have a hardship. Abuse of these plans may significantly impact cash flow forcing changes in community operations. We ask for your prompt actions to assure the financial health of Masthope.
