BOD Update 5/5/20
5-5 BOD Message:
We hope this message finds you well. The community continues to be highly active with many members riding out the storm in Masthope. When you choose to visit Masthope, please remember Pennsylvania remains under a stay at home order. When you come to Masthope, you need to quarantine for a period of 14 days. Please continue to follow the guidance from the government.
This past week, the Governor did lighten some restrictions, allowing construction to resume, marinas to open, golf courses to open and private campgrounds to open. However, while some restrictions are lifted, others remain, and social distancing must continue as well as compliance with all other rules and restrictions. Masthope did open the boat launch with additional rules primarily to provide for social distancing. We are happy to report that members using the facility worked together and complied well. We will continue to responsibly open amenities as permitted. The Riverpark will be opened this week for launching of boats only. With the recent rains, the water level remains high and water temperature remains cold. This combination can be dangerous, please be careful.
Management has been working with the Board to develop operating procedures for the lake, pool, stables, activity center and fitness center. As we move closer to opening, additional guidelines from the government will guide us to responsible operations. Operations will not be what they used to be and at times may be inconvenient, but we must work through these times. We also look forward to the opening of the Restaurant, Tiki Bar and Beach House. We do not know what that will look like until we receive final governmental guidance. Please watch for updates.
We do anticipate the opening of the office in the coming days, until then you may contact the office via phone or email. Thank you to those who have submitted your annual dues. For those who do have a hardship, please contact the office. There are several payment options which may be of help. ATV and boat registrations have been extended until July 1 – once the office does open, we suggest getting those done to avoid a rush on July 1. Any new or newly acquired equipment must be registered prior to operation in Masthope, please contact the office for guidance with the process.
While we appreciate your input, social media is not the proper place. This past week, conversations erupted on multiple Facebook pages which served no purpose, people were insulted, criticized and falsehoods were spread. We ask that if you have a comment or concern about Masthope, please bring it to a Board of Directors Meeting, email the office or the Board President. Stay safe.
