BOD Update 5/26/20
BOD update 5-26
There are big changes coming this week as we move to the yellow phase of the Governor’s reopening plan. For these changes to work, we need your continued vigilance in social distancing and wearing face coverings.
Posted separately is Masthope’s plan for reopening several amenities. We will keep you posted as more information is received.
As we move to the yellow phase, the restriction on short term rentals will expire. All rentals must be registered with the POC Office. Passes will be required for all amenities including trash. The late registration fee will be waived for rentals arriving prior to June 12th. Renters arriving after June 12th must have been registered with the POC 7 days prior or the $25 late fee will be imposed. Please advise your renters of all rules of the community, including any temporary rules due to COVID-19. We ask that only one member of the rental party enter the office.
We realize board meetings are not exciting but hope it wasn’t a pandemic that caused a record of over 170 members to attend a monthly board meeting. The proposed rental policy was introduced at the meeting, a town hall meeting is scheduled for June 7th. Details for the town hall will be communicated before the meeting. The proposed policy is posted at Masthope.org under communications in the Property Owners section. Please review the policy prior to the town hall meeting. After the town hall meeting, the Board will take all comments into consideration prior to voting on a new policy.
Also introduced is a plan to expand the pool complex with an additional pool, large slides, children’s splash pad, restrooms, a service bar and expanded seating area for the tiki bar. The board reviewed a rough draft of the project and voted to have the project further developed and sent to the membership for a vote at the July membership meeting. All pool documents are posted at Masthope.org in the meeting information section. If approved in July, work would begin in the fall and be ready for next summer.
Stay safe and healthy.
