Pike County Update 5/26/20
Pike County is expected to be declared in Yellow Phase starting May 29, 2020.
Yellow phase amenity update.
We strongly recommend you follow social distancing guidelines and wear a mask. Masks must be worn when you are in direct contact with Masthope staff, this includes the office, marketplace, Summit, check-in staff, compactor, public safety or any other direct contact.
Pool and lake opening.
On May 30th both the pool and lake will open for the weekend. On June 6th both areas will be open daily. As with everything else, there will be different rules in place to assure that social distancing is accomplished. At the discretion of management and staff, all temporary rules are subject to change at any time.
Rules for our Pool Complex
To assure all members get an opportunity to enjoy the pool, there will be a limited number of members permitted in the actual pool complex. Three time periods have been established, 10:00AM – 1:00PM, 1:30PM-4:30PM and 5:00PM to close. A 15-minute notice will be given prior to the end of each session, please be prepared to exit promptly to allow your friends and neighbors the opportunity to use the complex. At the end of each time period the pool complex will be cleared to allow for sanitation and prepare for the next group’s arrival.
On weekends, wrist bands will be available 45 minutes prior to the start of each session at the ski ticket windows. All parties entering the facility must be present to receive a wrist band. When at the window, your passes must be presented to the attendant for scanning, wrist bands will be issued and must be put on at the window. Please use social distancing while waiting online.
Entrance to the pool complex will be only through the normal entrance. Exit will be through the Tiki entrance.
A different colored wristband allowing entrance to the pool complex for swimming only will be issued. When not actively using the pool, we ask that you leave the area to allow others the opportunity to swim. There may be times that it is determined that the pool is at capacity and the swim only guests will not be permitted in the pool complex or may be asked to leave.
Members may choose to set up their chairs outside of the pool complex. All furniture will be removed from the pool area, guests must supply their own chairs. No tables will be permitted in the pool area. When placing your furniture please keep your group as close together as possible to allow all members to have proper room. Staff may ask that you move your group or pool gear.
No coolers or glass will be permitted inside the fence. No food is permitted in the pool complex. All pool rules remain in effect.
No ball play or pool toys are permitted, we will not issue any equipment. Devices used as swim aids are permitted.
The lodge will be open for bathroom use only. When entering the lodge, you must wear shoes, shirts and masks.
The number of guests permitted in the beach area will be restricted based on social distancing as determined by management and staff. This may apply even if you have already been issued a wristband. Do not come early to get your wristband and leave. Each time you enter the facility, you will be required to wait at the back of the entrance line. Having a wristband will not guarantee your admittance if you leave the facility.
Entrance and exit will only be done through the Beach House entrance.
The boat launch drive is only for boat launching or recovery. You are not permitted to unload beach gear from the boat launch drive.
The playground and volleyball remain closed. All tables will be removed, you may bring your own if desired.
Food service will be done through the exterior walk up window.
The Beach House will be open with the downstairs bathrooms only. Bathrooms will be closed for cleaning frequently. Please work with staff, the quicker they can get in, the quicker they can do their job.
The Riverpark is open from dawn to dusk. The playground will remain closed and picnic tables have been removed. You are welcome to use the grills and enjoy the river front.
Restrooms will be open.
Please respect our neighbors by staying on Masthope property and following hours of operation.
The boat launch will remain open with existing restrictions. Only people actively using the boat launch are permitted in that area. Do not enter the ramp to drop off passengers or beach equipment.
Starting May 30, we will begin to lend kayaks, paddleboards and paddle boats. Sanitation procedures will slow the process so please be patient. We recommend using your own Coast Guard approved flotation device when possible.
The Stables will reopen on May 30 for pony rides, arena rides, tack lessons and private lessons. Trail rides will resume when livestock is ready.
Reservations will be required for all activities.
Social distancing and masks are required.
The petting zoo will remain closed.
We appreciate everyone’s help in opening our amenities in a prudent manner, consistent with state and local regulations during this phase. We will keep monitoring the situation and be alert to any government regulation changes so that we can act promptly. Thank you for your help.
