As we approach the spring thaw season, temporary road weight restrictions will go into effect on all Association roadways beginning February 23, 2026, and will remain in place until further notice. During this time, vehicles exceeding 10 tons will not be permitted to travel on community roads.
As seasonal temperatures rise and the ground thaws, moisture beneath roadways weakens the pavement foundation, making roads more vulnerable to damage from heavy vehicles. Overweight traffic during this period can cause cracking, rutting, and costly structural failures, so temporary weight restrictions are implemented to protect the road system and reduce repair expenses for the community. Residents expecting large deliveries or contractor vehicles over the 10-ton limit should plan ahead and notify vendors of these restrictions. A follow-up notice will be issued once the limits are lifted. Damage done to roads during the spring thaw as a result of heavy vehicles will be subject to fines. We appreciate your cooperation.
